Aircraft Servicing Simulation
We partnered with Lockheed Martin to build virtual training for the Royal Canadian Air Force CC-130J Super Hercules.
-
Practice hands-on servicing procedures (e.g., pre/post/thru-flight checks)
Complete complex operational checkouts
Identify snags & perform rectifications (e.g., stowing loose kit, cleaning spills or dirty displays, replacing items like tags or safety wire)
-
Design and testing phases were completed with input from RCAF instructors from 426 Squadron
Instructors can configure custom scenarios from hundreds of individual checks, available in 30+ preset scenarios
New checks, tasks, inspections, snags, and presets can all be procedurally imported via spreadsheet & rapidly created in-game
Learners receive immediate, context specific guidance (e.g., visual and sound effects) and debrief after each session via in-game scorecard
-
Custom-built, interactable 3D models of aircraft systems, assemblies, and components, as well as onboard equipment & kits
Real-time active flow diagrams show the inner workings of complex systems
Observe, practice, and learn about hazards in a safe virtual environment
Also includes ground equipment, support & test equipment (STE), simple tools, and an interactive supply area & inventory system
Available in VR for maximum immersion, or on laptop/PC for wider accessibility.
