Unity Software Developer
Propel VR is looking for software developers to join our team! We are a growing VR development studio based in Ontario, Canada focused on building VR experiences for clients in the education, healthcare and aerospace sectors.
We offer remote work with flexible hours - both “part time” and “full time” roles are available.
What will you be doing?
Work directly with a tight knit team of VR designers and developers to plan, build, iterate and execute on project goals and deliverables
Collaborate with our team and industry partners to develop significant features of VR experiences - this includes working alongside instructional designers, 3D artists, and other developers
Contribute to the design and architecture of VR experiences
Hands-on development. You’ll be responsible for technical development, testing and integration of your work alongside the rest of the team
Ensure quality code, employ proper Git management practices, and complete deliverables according to the project schedule
Work remotely with client teams and external subject matter experts to bring the VR build to final delivery
Skills and experience:
Game design and development experience, including Unity and C# skills
Experience in technical management of small teams is an asset
Experience developing a project from concept to delivery, ideally as a lead developer
Experience working independently, whilst keeping synched up with the broader team and with the project’s overall vision and goals in mind
A general passion for immersive technologies and an interest in game design and development
Nice to have:
Experience working with VR interaction systems like Unity’s XR Toolkit, VR Interaction Framework, VRTK, or others is advantageous, but not required
3D modelling and/or animation experience is advantageous but not required
